Mira Lehr and Eleanor Heartney discuss Lehr's one-woman show - "tracing the red thread". September 15, 2018 at the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami.

Mira Lehr is a Miami-based artist whose work has been described as that of a "visual poet." Lehr has been influenced throughout her life by a variety of mentors, including Leonard Shure, Hans Hofmann, Robert Motherwell, Dan Kiley, and Buckminster Fuller, but her vision is decidedly unique. Her paintings speak of the forces and structure in nature as manifested through her poetic symbolism. Lehr has exhibited throughout the world and won numerous awards, including most recently the 2007 Southern Competition of New American Painters juried by Charlotta Kotik, curator of Contemporary Art at the Brooklyn Museum, New York.
